Covington—Ura Nixon, 95, Covington, died at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 22, 1989 at Covington Manor Health Care Center.
  She was born March 11, 1894 near Wallace, the daughter of Jacob and Narcissis Keller Nixon. (*Should be Philpott)  She was first married in 1914 to Harry Fletcher of Wallace. In 1934, she married Walter Nixon, who preceded her in death in 1958.
  She had been employed at Fountain County Home in Covington and Hegg Courthouse Café, retiring in 1973. She was a member of the Freedom Christian Church in Wallace and had been a former member of Yeddo Chapter OES.
  Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Jean Butcher, Covington, a brother, Russell Philpott, Wallace; two sisters, Mrs. Della Glascock, Veedersburg, and Mrs. Alta Brown, Logansport; nine grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a great grandson, a brother, Earl Philpott, and a sister, Elinore Stockdale.
  Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Friday at Thomas Funeral Home, Waynetown, with the Rev. Robert Hentrich officiating. Burial was in Wolf Creek Cemetery, south of Wallace. -s
